Went to Saffron again last night (can you tell I'm addicted) and discovered that they have indeed extended RW (Restaurant Week) for the rest of the month.It was my first experience with a RW promotion, and it was fine -- full menu available with a small upcharge for the rack of lamb and the fois gras appetizer.
However, when the bill came, it listed two RW promotions at $30 each.
Our menus were long gone, and I couldn't remember what the actual price was for everything. I ended up guessing and doing some addition in my head, and hopefully got fairly close.
It would be helpful if the tab listed the non-promotional price for help in figuring the tip, since I don't think it's fair to penalize the wait staff for the promotion and intended to tip on the "real" price.
Do other restaurants participating in RW do this?If not, they really should.
